Why you cannot compare the kW ratings directly
A wood-burning stove needs a much higher kW rating than an electric heater to warm the same room, so comparing the two on kW alone will lead you badly astray. Wood stoves lose a large share of their output up the flue, and their rated output is measured differently. Always size from the manufacturer's rated room volume, never from the kW number.

A wood stove needs an insulated chimney running from the stove through the roof or wall, with a published minimum clearance to combustible material, a rain cap and usually a spark arrestor. The penetration has to be flashed and sealed properly or it becomes the leak that rots the roof. Clearances are set by the stove's own listing and are not interchangeable between models.
